Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TXBUK (the "Platform"), a directory service that connects independent IT and telecom field technicians with businesses seeking on-site technical work. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

TXBUK operates a searchable directory. We are not a staffing agency, employer of record, or party to any agreement made between a technician and a business. Technicians on TXBUK are independent professionals, not TXBUK employees or contractors.

2. No Verification Guarantee

TXBUK does not currently perform background checks, license verification, or identity verification on technician profiles unless explicitly labeled as "Verified" by TXBUK staff. Businesses are responsible for their own due diligence before engaging any technician found through the Platform.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information when creating a profile.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You may not misrepresent your identity, skills, certifications, or work history.
  • You may not attempt to access another user's account or private data.

4. Work Opportunities

Any work arrangement, payment, rate, or contract formed between a technician and a business is strictly between those parties. TXBUK is not responsible for the performance of work, payment disputes, or the conduct of either party.

5. Prohibited Conduct

  • Posting fraudulent, misleading, or impersonating profiles.
  • Uploading malicious files or attempting to compromise Platform security.
  • Scraping or harvesting data from the Platform without permission.
  • Using the Platform to harass, discriminate against, or defraud other users.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, resumes, certifications). By publishing a profile, you grant TXBUK a license to display that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the directory.

7. AI Features

TXBUK offers optional AI-assisted troubleshooting features (Field AI for technicians, Employer AI for businesses), including Employer AI's ability to save selected business-technology context across conversations ("Saved Business Context") as described in our Privacy Policy. By using these features, you agree to the following:

  • AI-generated guidance may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. It is not a substitute for a qualified technician, manufacturer instructions, or applicable safety and authorization requirements, and you are responsible for verifying anything important before acting on it — especially before taking a destructive or hard-to-reverse action.
  • Saved Business Context may include information you provided as well as possibilities identified by Employer AI during past conversations. AI-identified possibilities may be incomplete or incorrect and are not treated as confirmed facts unless they are later verified.
  • A past troubleshooting resolution does not guarantee the same cause or fix applies to a future issue.
  • You are responsible for what you submit to any TXBUK AI feature. Do not submit passwords, access codes, payment card information, API keys, or other sensitive credentials — TXBUK attempts to screen for this kind of content but cannot guarantee it will catch every instance.
  • TXBUK does not guarantee that AI-assisted troubleshooting will resolve your issue, and use of these features does not replace your own judgment about when to involve a qualified technician or professional.

8. Termination

We may suspend or disable accounts that violate these Terms, including profiles reported as fraudulent or inappropriate.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time from Account Settings. If you have active work obligations to another user — for example, an accepted assignment or an open work order — you must resolve or cancel that work before a deletion request will be accepted.

Your account access is disabled immediately upon request, and any active paid subscription is canceled immediately. We retain your account for a recovery period of approximately 7-8 days, during which you may restore it at any time by signing back in. Once permanent deletion begins, it is irreversible. A restored account does not automatically regain a canceled paid subscription — you must subscribe again if you want paid access back.

We may retain certain anonymized or shared records after permanent deletion — such as a completed work order, a message thread, or a review involving another user — to preserve that other user's legitimate history, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. TXBUK is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Platform or your reliance on any profile or work request.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
